This photograph was taken in July 2002 when she was allowed out of the prison for a few days by signing a personal bond to meet with the Chief Minster of Manipur. She was re-arrested the following day. Around her are the Meira Paibis (woman torch bearers, who are in the forefront of the human rights movement in Manipur), in solidarity with her struggle.
